The Olympics were successfully held in Paris in July of this year, but the French airline company Air France suffered financial losses due to this biggest sports festival.
According to foreign media reports, Air France's LM released its third-quarter report, which noted a sharp drop in the company's net profit. This drop was attributed to passengers avoiding travel to Paris during the Olympic Games.
In a quarterly report, the Franco-Dutch group showed an after-tax profit of 824 million euros ($887 million), down 13 percent from last year's three-month period.
In a statement issued by Air France, it is said that the number of international tourists to Paris decreased due to the Olympic Games, causing a loss of 160 million euros.
It is to be noted that Air France was also an official partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games and named its latest long-haul aircraft 'Paris' on the occasion, the host city of the 33rd modern Olympiad
