The Telegraph has revealed in its report that the England Cricket Board (ECB) has banned its players from participating in other franchise leagues including the Pakistan Super League due to the domestic season, but the Indian Premier League (IPL). There is an exception to this.

The English board may face a crisis over banning players as some could potentially put their red ball careers on hold for the franchise league.

In the past, the ECB had planned not to issue NOCs to its players for franchise leagues during the domestic cricket window. The board will also not allow players to participate in leagues between The Hundred League and T20 Blast.

It should be noted that next year, the Pakistan Super League (2025) will be held in April due to the Champions Trophy, and it was feared that many leading English cricketers may leave domestic cricket to play in the T20 league.

On the other hand, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has also started preparations to convince the English Cricket Board for its league to enable English players to participate.
