The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) announced on Tuesday that England's test coach Brendon McCullum has also been given responsibility for the white-ball teams.
The (ECB) has said that the former New Zealand players will be in charge of both the Test and limited-overs teams from January 2025, during which time England will tour India and play the champion Trophy hosted by Pakistan.
England had won just one test on 17 test matches before McCullum's appointment, But since McCullum's appointment England has won 19 of 29 tests.
Roob Key, Managing Director of England Men's Cricket, said: " I am delighted that Brendon McCullum has now chosen to play both roles with England. I believe we are incredibly lucky to have a coach of his caliber in England. He is ready to commit wholeheartedly to Cricket.

The England Cricket Board made this deal with Brendon McCullum in July after Matthew Ports was dropped for poor performance in last year's 50-overs World Cup and this year's T20 World Cup.
Brendon McCullum will take over as the white-ball coach from January 2025. Meanwhile, former England captain Marcus Trescothick will be the acting head coach of the English team for the T20 and ODI series against Australia this month and the white ball tour to the Caribbean in November.
