Winning start for Carlos Alcaraz, reaches the second round of the French Open tennis men's singles

In the other first-round matches, Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov, France's Richard Gasquet, Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka, Japan's Ki Nishikori and host Alexander Muller won to qualify for the second round.
